Working with Nigerian start-up PiggyVest [previously PiggyBank], Wimbart announced the fintech start-ups $1.1M Seed round in May 2018. Interestingly, unlike other fundraise announcements in the ecosystem, the Google Launchpad Africa cohorts were able to secure their first institutional investment from Nigerian-only investors.

Wimbart worked with the Piggyvest founders to secure an exclusive story with TechCrunch who led on the announcement. We also secured print, radio and broadcast coverage in outlets such as CNBC Africa, ARISE Africa, OZY, VentureBurn and more.
